The activities of the Chemistry Association for the academic year 2019-20 was inaugurated on 12th  July 2019 between 2-4 pm by Dr. N. Sathyamurthy, Founder Director, IISER, Mohali.

The event started with a video of the chemistry association showing the events of the chemistry association (2018-19). Then an invocation dance was performed by students followed by an invocation song and lighting of the lamp by the chief guest, Head of the Department of the chemistry and the coordinator of chemistry association. Dr Sathyamurthy gave a talk on the topic “Observing chemical reactions in space and time: pushing the frontiers of science”. Dr Anitha Varghese, HOD Department of Chemistry delivered the welcome address during the inauguration. Dr Anil Agarwal, Coordinator of the Chemistry Association, introduced the officer bearers and the guest speaker.

Department of Chemistry presented the logo for the first time with a tagline, “Together in Spirit”. The aim of this association is to make the chemistry students interact with each other and to find solutions to the chemical problems that plague the society. All the students of chemistry discipline and faculty members of chemistry department graced the occasion. Vote of thanks was given by the vice president of the chemistry association Aman Sharma.

The event was thrilled with some cultural performances by students and was ended with CHRIST Anthem.
